The mission of the ACES at Ansonia program is to support the development of responsible, creative, life-long learners by providing a comprehensive educational community dedicated to nurturing individual academic and social- emotional growth among middle school students with and without special needs who are enrolled.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum objectives. </li><li>Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom. </li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth. </li><li>Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning experiences and facilitate student engagement. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and support students' holistic development. </li><li>Communicate regularly with students, parents, and stakeholders to provide updates on student performance, classroom activities, and academic expectations. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education and instructional pedagogy. </li><li>Co-teaching with special education teacher(s) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Education, or a related field. </li><li>Valid 7-12 (029) certification in mathematics education, Valid 4-8 (229) or (006) </li><li>Strong content knowledge in relevant areas of mathematics </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. </li><li>Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms for instructional delivery and assessment. </li><li>Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners and create an accessible learning environment for all students. </li><li>Collaborative mindset and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. </li></ul>
