<p>The produce warehouse distributes vast amounts of fresh produce and canned goods annually. Correctional facilities place orders weekly. The primary purpose of this Administrative Specialist I position is to assist management in ordering, receiving, and distributing produce usage orders from these facilities. These orders are processed and prepared for loading and shipping. Most products are purchased from various vendors, but some produce is supplemented or provided by Enterprise Farm. This position must be able to coordinate functions, prioritize work and assure management that tasks are performed, and deadlines are met. In addition to organizing work, this employee will be involved in many duties simultaneously and repetitive. This position works Monday-Friday, and the duty location is the Farm Administrative Office with periodic placement at the Produce Warehouse. Travel to other sites may be included to complete special assignments for additional training. Must be familiar with NCDAC (North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections) policies and procedures and be able to adapt and assist initiating changes to conform to policy/procedural changes.</p> <p>This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits</p> <p>Note to Current State Employees</p> <p>State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position.
