<p>Join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company where collaboration, technical expertise, and customer service are at the heart of everything we do. We specialize in producing high-performance rubber, urethane, and plastic components and are seeking an Estimating Engineer at our Port Washington location to help us continue our growth and success.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>As an Estimating Engineer, you will play a critical role in responding quickly and accurately to customer Requests for Quote (RFQs). Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and our customers, you'll develop detailed cost estimates and provide technical guidance on manufacturability to ensure we win profitable, well-executed projects.</p> <p>Measures of success:</p> <ul> <li>Quote accuracy - your ability to accurately estimate the costs of new projects with sometimes incomplete information in order to win profitable projects for the company </li><li>Quote turnaround time - your ability to quickly respond to RFQs and deliver quality quotes to the customer </li><li>Quote capacity - your ability to manage many ongoing quoting projects at once at the pace of our business </li></ul> <p>Key competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Understand customer requirements for a project by analyzing the new item or item revision quote request, drawings, solid models, specifications, etc. Work directly with customers to acquire missing information </li><li>Use available information to make calculated assumptions and communicate your reasoning </li><li>Provide guidance on design for manufacturability to the customer to demonstrate our technical expertise and create better projects </li><li>Pair knowledge of customer requirements with our capabilities to develop bills of material, process routings, tooling, fixture, and inspection requirements </li><li>Consult with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and other departments when projects are awarded to determine quote accuracy and identify continuous improvement opportunities </li><li>Model our core values to internal and external customers: Wow our Customers, Collaborate, Be Passionate, and Find a Better Way </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of Estimating experience in manufacturing (rubber, urethane, or plastic injection molding preferred) </li><li>Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience </li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite (Delmiaworks/IQMS ERP experience is a plus) </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>Molded Dimensions' mission is to provide peace of mind to our customers, employees and investors.
