<p>The Seasonal Area Manager (AM) is responsible for leading and managing a group of approximately 4 stores, while leading their own location. This includes leading the teams with daily goals, merchandising, product management and add on sales. This position also requires extensive product knowledge, maintaining inventory levels, control costs, proper staffing and overall day to day operations of the retail locations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage the store teams to achieve sales goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. </li><li>Role model all behavior regarding leadership, communication, selling, operations and training/developing of all associates. </li><li>Operate assigned store 4 days per week and travel to other locations the other working day. At times this may be 3 days per week in assigned store and 2 days at other locations as needed. </li><li>Complete Store Visit Checklist 1x per month, per location. Leave action plans for follow up. </li><li>Motivate team to achieve sales goals through enthusiastic behavior, goal setting, creating a fun environment and in store contests (with approval). </li><li>Communicate/partner with GM/Other on store sales goals and results, daily happenings, personnel issues and planning of store operations. </li><li>Write proper schedules within plan/budget for the daily operations of the assigned store and monitor the additional locations for proper scheduling. </li><li>Continually learn the operations of the stores, multi-unit management growth and company guidelines. </li><li>Responsible for opening and closing of the store and securing all store assets. </li><li>Responsible for recruitment, training, coaching and development of store associates. </li><li>Drive sales in the store by following sales guidelines and procedures including sampling and selling products with passion and enthusiasm, while providing exceptional customer service. </li><li>Maintain product knowledge and stay abreast of changes in product assortment. Train all associates on product changes. </li><li>Execute floor sets, pricing, signage, promotional activities and other merchandising strategies according to company directives. </li><li>Execute store inventory procedures and train associates on inventory control and minimizing product waste. </li><li>Follow established policies, practices, and procedures including quality, sanitary, and safety guidelines. This includes compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and maintaining a safe work environment. </li><li>Foster the brand image and reputation through impeccable personal presentation and attitude. </li><li>Pursue Business to Business sales opportunities in the community according to established procedures. </li><li>Complete daily banking as needed (daylight hours only) and following all proper safety procedures. Verify at store locations that this is completed. </li><li>Complete daily audit of deposit log, cash funds, safe contents and all paperwork. </li><li>Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned. </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>5 years of experience in the retail leadership environment. </li><li>Must have excellent communication skills, sales skills, and organizational skills and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, sitting, crawling and lifting. </li><li>Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to stand 8-10 hours per day. </li><li>Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays if needed. </li><li>Able to work in a cooler/freezer environment. </li><li>Possibility of travel. </li></ul>
