<p>Job Title: Nurse Midwife</p> <p>Location: Jersey City Medical Center</p> <p>Department: MMG Concurrent</p> <p>Req#: 0000192616</p> <p>Status: Per Diem</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $94.76 - $94.76 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Certified Nurse Midwife position provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal and interconnectional care in accordance with written midwifery protocols, which have been approved by the institution s Medical Board, Mid-level Practitioner Section; Department of OB/GYN. This role requires Inpatient and Outpatient coverage.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Current New Jersey licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife required; current New Jersey licensure as a Registered Nurse required. </li><li>BSN and MSN in nurse-midwifery from an accredited program required. </li><li>BLS and NRP certifications required. </li><li>Must meet all Medical Staff requirements for credentialing and being approved by Mid-level Practitioner Section Credentialing Committee. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Assess the status of the patient, develop and implement a plan of care with the patient during the prenatal, intrapartal, postpartal, neonatal, and intraconceptional period. </li><li>Establishes a complete data base concerning the patient through history taken, physical examinations, and appropriate laboratory data. </li><li>Maintains the qualifications for full credentialing on the medical staff as a Certified Nurse Midwife, including participation in continuing Educational programs. </li><li>Manages patient labor, including delivery of newborn, utilizing medication and performing procedures. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li><li>Plans and provides health care for women. </li><li>Provides contraceptive guidance. </li><li>Provides immediate and follow-up care of the newborn infant, including ongoing assessment and follow-up with postpartum family. </li><li>Provides patient education relevant to the obstetrical patient s health care. </li><li>Seeks medical consultations for patients with deviations from standard guidelines; performs ongoing review of care, including evaluation, and documentation in the medical record. </li><li>Works closely with nursing and attending staff and shall ensure a productive, cordial atmosphere conducive to quality patient care. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Pay Transparency</p> <p>$90/25-$94.76</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate s educational background, skills, and professional experience.</p> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
