Due to our continued growth with our current customer at the University of North Dakota, we are adding this position to our team. This person will be located at the University of North Dakota campus, Grand Forks, North Dakota. This individual will be responsible for maintaining University Housing Buildings and Grounds. Ideal candidate will have a maintenance and housing facilities background. Come join our growing team.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:</p> <p>Under general supervision, performs general maintenance duties or minor technical tasks required to maintain structures, equipment, and grounds common to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract facility sites and structures.</p> <p>PRINCIPLE DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists in performing routine repair of Housing structures, which will include room turns, wall repairs, patching, sanding, in preparation for painting, painting, flooring repairs, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in performing safety check on heating, cooling, and other equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal, in work areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Mixes appropriate chemical(s) (i.e. cleaning, fertilizer, construction compounds) per manufacturer's specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>May perform the replacement of minor electrical devices.</p> </li><li> <p>May operate various groundskeeping equipment associated with mowing, planting, trimming, or pruning, etc. as required. Operates sprinkler systems, performs corrective action for lawn stress situations, utilizes appropriate fertilization compounds and systems.</p> </li><li> <p>May operate and maintain heavy equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, forklifts or groundskeeping equipment such front end loaders or a back-hoe.</p> </li><li> <p>Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all light fixtures are operational, changes light bulbs as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>May assist in layout, construction, and repair of a variety of residents rooms, common spaces or offices such as walls, partitions, doors, concrete forms, ceiling tiles or roofs. Assists in layout for equipment installation.</p> </li><li> <p>May also assist in construction work such as laying brick, block, ceramic tile, concrete walkways, or asphalt.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with securing assigned area(s).
