<p>Position Description</p> <p>The Career Services Coordinator is a dedicated professional who supports student success by guiding students through career exploration, skill-building, and job attainment. This role provides individualized and group-based services that help students validate their career paths, build self-awareness, and develop the professional competencies necessary to thrive in the workforce. The coordinator collaborates with academic and support units to connect students with meaningful career opportunities, internships, and networking events. Skilled at achieving post-graduate success through innovative data capture, analysis, and reporting, ensuring continuous improvement in student outcomes. The Career Services Coordinator supports strategic institutional goals related to budget metrics, student engagement, retention, and employability.</p> <p>All major activities, essential duties, and responsibilities shall be performed by integrating the ZSC personal touch philosophy, which defines our College. The personal touch is characterized by respect, responsiveness, and responsibility in all relationships and is an attitude toward students, colleagues, and community members that demonstrates respect, acceptance, responsibility, courteousness, and genuineness</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Career Advising and Exploration (25%) Assist students in validating career choices, planning career paths, and identifying job options aligned with their academic programs and personal interests. Administer and interpret career assessments. </li><li>Professional Development Coaching (20%) Guide students through self-assessment and development of key professional skills, including resume writing, interviewing, salary negotiation, and networking strategies. </li><li>Internship and Job Placement Support (20%) Connect students with internship, co-op, and employment opportunities by building relationships with employers, promoting job boards, and coordinating career events.
