<p>Utah Valley University is seeking a student to provide accounting support for the UVU Finance & Business Services!</p> <ul> <li> <p>Reconciliations of different accounting transactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Answering department inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional inventory counting.</p> </li><li> <p>Different responsibilities related to fixed assets accounting and tracking.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a current UVU Accounting Student.</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of the following courses (recommended):</p> </li><li> <p>DGM 2010 - Business Computer Proficiency</p> </li><li> <p>ACC 2010 - Financial Accounting</p> </li><li> <p>ACC 2020 - Managerial Accounting</p> </li><li> <p>MGMT 2200 - Business Writing</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, internal controls, federal tax regulations, fund accounting, and office methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in data processing and knowledge of PC computer systems and software, including word processing, accounting software, graphics presentation, and Windows operating systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Excel.</p> </li><li> <p>Self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes initiative and is proactive in getting tasks done without being asked or reminded.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify and suggest process efficiencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to organize information and time.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to review, analyze, and prepare accurate financial reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.</p> </li></ul>
