We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>Teacher Student Success Classroom</p> <p>Studley Elementary School</p> <p>Start date 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>The SSC program is designed to provide therapeutic, academic, behavioral and structural supports necessary for students with social emotional/behavioral needs to successfully access general education and participate in the life of the school. The primary goal of the program is to develop, apply, and generalize the skills necessary to manage emotions, develop positive relationships, self-advocate, and make responsible decisions.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Master's Degree preferred</p> <p>Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)</p> <p>Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable</p> <p>JOB GOAL/PURPOSE: To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Administration and/or Director of Special Education</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers assessments, interprets evaluations, and writes reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrates findings with other disciplines, provides recommendations and develops Individual Education Programs (IEPs) based on TEAM recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with TEAM members to implement specially designed instruction to support educational and social-emotional behavioral needs in accordance with student's IEP.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with the TEAM to determine and implement appropriate accommodations for classroom assessments and standardized examinations for special education students.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes all assigned paperwork for the special education process as required by state and federal regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides targeted and evidence-based interventions.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all case management responsibilities associated with the IEP.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains accurate, complete and confidential student records.</p> </li><li> <p>Involvement at the community, system, building and student levels for school-wide initiatives such as social-emotional learning, Universal Design, assistive technology and program development.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as a resource to develop effective teaching strategies for all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for annual reviews, written progress notes, parent/teacher conferences and proctoring state assessments.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses evidence-based research and continuing education to address MA frameworks and to meet licensure requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Guides and supports support staff in academic/social/behavioral management including in areas outside of the classrom such as recess, halls, self-care including toileting.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee.</p> </li></ol> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Safety care or CPI trained preferred</p> <p>1-2 years as a special educator</p> <p>Training or work experience in ABA</p> <p>ELL and SEL training preferred ie trauma informed instruction, culturally responsive teaching</p> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
