You will play a vital role in veterans lives by producing medical images that help our providers to assess and diagnose. You will operate various imaging equipment, assist veterans during procedures, and ensure images are of high quality. This position offers a mix of patient interaction, technical skills, and ongoing learning, making it a rewarding career for those who enjoy helping others and using technology!</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician </li><li>Responsible for quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment </li><li>Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary weight and temperature; reporting patient history summary </li><li>Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations </li><li>Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; stocking exam rooms </li><li>Assist with general patient care when needed </li><li>Performs routine procedures to obtain claimant's medical history, record vital signs and complete lab requisitions </li><li>Performs standard diagnostic procedures accurately, efficiently, and with the highest quality including but not limited to: 12-lead electrocardiograms, proficient venipuncture, and preparation of lab specimens for laboratory courier, pulmonary function test (PFTs), arterial flow Doppler studies, and other clinical diagnostic studies assigned to meet the needs of the organization </li><li>Performs housekeeping functions such as: changing exam room table paper, upkeep of cleanliness of the entire office (exam rooms, bathrooms, waiting area, front office, lab room, etc.), ensuring all equipment is clean and presentable </li><li>Chaperone during examinations as required </li><li>If fluent in other languages, assist claimants and providers with translation of questionnaire forms or during evaluation, as necessary </li><li>Responsible for front office duties such as: answering telephones, preparing schedules and confirming appointments, data entry (e.g., referral contracts, post appointment information, review of computerized worksheets manually completed by claimants), filing and inventory including set-up of workstations and computers, troubleshooting computer/internet issues and coordinating with shipping vendors </li><li>Reviews and edit reports for accuracy (e.g., accuracy in context, grammar, spelling, consistency, etc.) prior to submission to physicians for final review and approval in proprietary software application. Accomplished through review of computerized worksheets, doctor's notes, and verifying information through dialogue with physician </li><li>Assists in the retrieval of diagnostic tests for scanning into propriety software application </li><li>Partners with operational teams and assists in provisioning of medical records </li><li>Works with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately </li><li>Assist in the preparation and delivery of reports for all lines of business </li><li>Responsible for administrative duties on-site including completion of expense reports in a timely manner following company policy </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Graduate of an accredited radiology program or a certified/accredited/JCERT hospital based program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) </li><li>5+ years of applicable experience as a Radiology Technician </li><li>CPR Certification </li><li>Must be able to successfully pass the National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Training: 1 week 1:1 training with Radiology Manager; 1 month of hands-on peer shadowing </li><li>Shift: Remote Week = Typically Monday through Friday from 8-4:30pm; Travel Week = Sunday through Friday, hours vary </li><li>Travel requirements: 50 - 70% regional travel, national as needed. 1 week ON (traveling), 1 week OFF (working remotely from home) </li></ul> <p>About Leidos QTC Health Services</p> <p>Leidos QTC Health Services collaborates closely with government and non-government customers to address current and future program needs within the health services domain.
