<p>Safety Specialist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs in compliance with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry standards. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating safety risks, conducting site inspections and audits, leading incident investigations, and delivering safety training to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement site-specific safety programs aligned with OSHA, FDA, and industry standards </li><li>Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment installation </li><li>Monitor compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards </li><li>Perform regular audits of construction areas for unsafe practices, equipment misuse, and environmental risks </li><li>Lead investigations of accidents, near-misses, and safety violations; perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions </li><li>Coordinate and deliver safety training on hazardous materials, confined spaces, emergency response, and other safety topics </li><li>Maintain accurate documentation including safety audits, permits, incident reports, and compliance certifications </li><li>Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other project stakeholders to integrate safety into all construction phases </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong ability to develop and implement safety plans </li><li>Experience conducting risk assessments and identifying workplace hazards </li><li>Working knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry regulations </li><li>Proficient in site inspections, compliance monitoring, and auditing </li><li>Ability to investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions </li><li>Experience delivering safety training programs </li><li>Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field </li><li>3+ years of experience working as a Safety Specialist in a construction environment </li><li>OSHA 30 certification required </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
