Our broad network includes seven acute care hospitals including one of the largest academic and surgical hospitals in the northeast, thriving community teaching hospitals, and one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in New England with more than 1,200 providers.</p> <p>We seek an experienced and influential Advanced Practice Regional Service Line Director to serve The Greater Manchester Region as the administrative leader responsible for overall leadership and advocacy for advanced practice providers, including but not limited to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants within the Greater Manchester Region. The Advanced Practice Regional Service Line Director serves as an expert resource for issues related to Advanced Practice (AP) scope of practice and other practice issues and creates an environment that supports HHC's vision to be the most respected nationally for excellence in patient care and the most trusted for personalized coordinated care. The Director oversees patient care and standard operating procedures to support a LEAN organization in alignment with the balanced scorecard.</p> <p>The Advanced Practice Regional Service Line Director should align AP staffing, education and performance to support the strategic plan for growth in their department/service line. Manage the clinical administrative operations of the Advanced Practice team including oversight of the clinical environment including patient and staff flow patterns, scheduling, clinical programming, staff management, fiscal and regulatory oversight as well as collaboration with research and all business practices within these departments. Provides leadership and oversight ensuring adequate staffing and material resources are available to support patient care; advance the delivery of care, support and facilitate efficient operational activities. Responsible for the administrative supervision of the team.</p> <ul> <li>Provides oversight and leadership, ensuring the appropriate placement of patients, considering patient and staff flow patterns, scheduling, clinical programming, staff management, fiscal, and regulatory oversight. Effectively interacts cross-functionally with all team members, providers and staff. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of care for required age-specific populations necessary to carry out safe and effective performance of duties. </li><li>Provides guidance on appropriate APP staffing in clinical areas. </li><li>In collaboration with the GMR VPMA and the HHC senior leadership team, establishes goals and expectations for achieving high levels of patient satisfaction and employee engagement, educates APPs on patient experience performance through PX data and individual feedback. </li><li>Provides leadership in the development of standards for practice for APPs providing clinical services on teams under purview. </li><li>Serves as a representative on interdisciplinary committees within the department and organization on a range of patient care topics </li><li>The Directors will be practicing clinicians and administrators. Clinical time may vary depending on the service line and staffing needs. An essential function of this role is to serve as a single point of contact and provide oversight for all APP's providing clinical services within the region or system service line. </li><li>Support relationships with APRN and PA clinical sites and oversee the APP student preceptor experience and liaison with APP school(s) to maintain relationships and recruitment. </li><li>Provide optimal learning environments for students of all disciplines. </li><li>Manages clinical emergencies and operates an internal and external disaster plan. Resolves clinical complaints issued by patients, families, and/or physicians. Works with clinical liaison to resolve patient concerns </li><li>Supervises and supports APP managers, if applicable, and leads in the orientation and on-boarding of new APPs </li><li>Provides leadership and support to all APP staff. </li><li>Supports, promotes staff development by facilitating staff attendance and participation in education programs and council/committee meetings. </li><li>Creates a healthy work environment that values and demonstrates skilled communication, true collaboration, effective decision making, meaningful recognition, appropriate staffing, and authentic leadership using HHC leadership behaviors. </li><li>Partners closely with physician, nursing, APP, and department leadership, CVO, Human Resources, Legal and others on issues related to APPs such as credentialing, performance management, onboarding, recruitment, OPPE and clinical rotations. </li><li>Advises local Medical Staff Office on team APP credentialing and clinical privileging process and maintenance of APP and physician collaboration and supervising agreements </li><li>Assure timely credentialing and re-credentialing of PAs/NPs by the Medical Staff Office in compliance with Medical Staff By-laws and Rules and Regulations. </li><li>Drives initiatives to modernize APP practice in support of HHC goals and priorities. </li><li>Establish standards for compensation to ensure fair and competitive compensation plan for APPs </li><li>Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new APPs </li><li>Maintains current knowledge and keeps abreast of new developments within specialty </li><li>Initiates and maintains departmental professional growth and development. </li><li>Maximizes productivity at all times by effectively managing activities within the region or service line and works to achieve organizational financial metrics. </li><li>Recommends departmental policies, procedures and best practices to senior management for approval. Implements approved policies, procedures and practices in a timely and efficient manner. </li><li>Adheres to, supports and implements hospital policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal agencies. </li><li>Participates in departmental strategic planning and advises on APP related issues. </li><li>Monitors coding, billing, and documentation processes related to APPs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance and ensure timely completion of medical records. </li><li>Collaborate with Human Resources to monitor and evaluate turnover and proactively address workforce trends. </li><li>Provides coaching and mentorship to staff APPs and APP leaders regarding clinical and performance issues. </li><li>Serves as a change agent, utilizing change theories to plan for the implementation of organizational changes. Adapts leadership style to situational needs. </li><li>Provide leadership in the advanced practice area to develop policies that ensure quality and efficient patient care, supporting APPs in their credentialing and professional development, ensuring all regulatory, accreditation, and clinical standards are met. </li><li>Actively seeks opportunities to model teamwork through collaboration both within and outside their respective service line(s) in support of the organization's objectives and APP engagement. </li><li>Serve as a role model; hold self and others accountable for professional development and life-long learning. </li><li>Promote strong physician collaboration and communication. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Eligible for unrestricted CT APRN or PA license </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience </li><li>Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest with their application </li></ul>
