<p>Responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the designated medical office site to ensure prompt, full provision delivery of all medical support services; reports to the Director of Primary/Specialty Care for SHMG for operational and financial responsibilities.</p> <p>Required Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Practice Management experience, 5-7 years in a healthcare </li><li>environment, preferably a Medical Group Practice. </li><li>Has demonstrated leadership of projects/ strategic planning </li><li>Oversees minimum of service lines or locations </li><li>Responsible for a minimum of 10 providers, a minimum of 28 staff members, or multiple job titles (i.e., Project Manager, Call Center Manager, etc.) </li><li>Responsible for a minimum of 2 supervisors </li><li>Strong performance reviews for prior 2 years </li><li>Strong leadership and analytical base </li><li>Command of verbal and written English </li><li>Positive interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Strong managerial and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to hold accountability for all team members </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of medical practice rules and procedures </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of fiscal responsibilities and budget planning </li><li>Ability to develop strategic plans for continuous improvement of the medical practice operations </li><li>Demonstrated ability to interact with patients in promoting an excellent and safe patient experience </li><li>Commitment to patient experience and quality improvement in the ambulatory setting </li><li>Works collaboratively with other health care professionals in providing outcome-oriented care </li><li>Demonstrates problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced work environment </li></ul> <p>Education/Training:</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or another relevant field preferred </li><li>Master's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</p> <p>Age and Diversity Related Criteria:</p> <p>Consistently treats patients, colleagues and visitors with the dignity and respect, while being sensitive to the differing needs of all age groups, backgrounds, characteristics, and cultures.</p> <p>Ability to Fulfill Job Expectations:</p> <p>Must have the ability to the perform essential functions of the position, including required work hours, locations, and physical demands, without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, and with or without reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Physical demands refer to the level and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform critical tasks in support of critical job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for implementing projects and strategic plans </li><li>Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff by following policies and </li><li>procedures. </li><li>Supervises support staff involved in clinical and administrative activities, with emphasis on </li><li>sensitivity to patients and meeting service standards. </li><li>Plans, organizes, and oversees work schedules and assignments of support staff to meet operational needs. </li><li>Coordinates coverage for absences, meal breaks, training, and vacations. </li><li>Charged with maintaining the proper scheduling of all site personnel to ensure that all areas are appropriately staffed to provide scheduled appointment and/or walk-in medical care to patients. </li><li>Facilitates patient flow through the practice/s. </li><li>Ensure all staff members complete competency requirements as required for their position. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of patient-related activities such as registration, managed are referrals, the collection, recording and distribution of cash and check payments, medical assisting vital signs and lab tests. </li><li>Assist providers and ensure availability of needed supplies. </li><li>Implements processes and procedures to ensure efficient processing of work including, but not limited to, time of service, scheduling, referral management, pre-registration and visit ticket entry. </li><li>Works with the site Medical Director or Physician Lead, Director of Primary/Specialty Care, and site coordinators to develop office orientation procedures and protocols. </li><li>Responsible to serve as site's point of contact for all Provider needs. </li><li>Responsible to serve as site's point of contact for all Patient concerns. </li><li>Responsible for the achievement of key metrics as clearly outlined in the Annual Goals. </li><li>Meet monthly with Sr. Director of Operations and COO to assess site performance, discuss </li><li>interventions. </li><li>Responsible for successful implementation of necessary site interventions. </li><li>Hold monthly staff and/or Provider meetings. </li><li>Collaborate with Quality and Population Health to ensure accuracy of data input and patient </li><li>outreach/in-reach. </li><li>Provides feedback to site Providers as well as to the Director Primary/Specialty Care regarding </li><li>improvements and changes to systems. </li><li>Ensures that staff's training needs are met. </li><li>Identifies training needs in both business/office and patient care activities and assists with training of support staff to ensure staff proficiency. Coordinates regular skills development sessions for support staff. </li><li>Has the authority to direct and support employees daily work activities. Has authority to undertake or recommend the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews. </li><li>Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department. </li><li>Assists with other administrative responsibilities as needed. </li><li>Ensures general site cleanliness, including waiting/exam rooms. </li><li>Monitors and maintains supplies needed for practice operations. </li><li>Available on off-hours as needed, if site has extended evening and/or weekend hours, or emergencies </li><li>Salary Range:$110,270.00-$141,468.00 </li></ul> <p>Sturdy Memorial Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
