We stand for academic excellence and are dedicated to providing the highest quality educational experience that will develop and build upon the leadership characteristics that are inherent in all children.</p> <p>We are seeking qualified and motivated teachers for 2024 - 2025 to help us transform our students into world class leaders.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>The ability to plan, create and deliver and/or follow lesson plans </li><li>Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and test </li><li>Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development </li><li>Provide a structured learning atmosphere </li><li>Maintaining positive environment in the classroom </li><li>Monitor student attendance and behavior </li><li>Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings </li><li>The ability to develop positive working relationships with students, administrators and staff </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution </li><li>Must have a Michigan Teaching Certification in corresponding subject area </li><li>Thorough knowledge of Michigan Common Core Curriculum </li><li>Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software </li><li>Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Experience working in a culturally diverse setting </li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team environment </li><li>Flexible open minded, self-driven team member </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience</p> <ul> <li>Some background in African Centered Education </li><li>Some experience in methodology in African Principles </li></ul> <p>BOLA is an equal opportunity employer</p>
