If you are passionate about healthcare and providing excellent patient care, we want to hear from you!</p> <p>Position: Patient Care Coordinator</p> <p>Location: Layton</p> <p>Type: PRN</p> <p>Schedule: PRN Evenings and Weekends</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>In this department, you play a vital role coordinating the care of patients and work closely with many providers. Some job duties include answering medical questions over the phone, communicating lab results and provider instructions to parents, scanning reports/records into patient charts, ensuring prescription orders are successful, coordinating the delivery of home health equipment, etc.</p> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Medical Assistant; will consider graduates from accredited programs. </li><li>Previous MA work experience desired; experience in Pediatrics preferred. </li><li>Understand various lab tests and able to clearly communicate results and provider instructions to parents. </li><li>Answer basic medical questions and offer advice to parents over the phone ensuring high standard of care. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients/parents. </li><li>Capable of prioritizing multiple job demands and work in a fast-paced health care environment. </li><li>Demonstrate compassion and understanding for the patient and families. </li><li>Basic computer knowledge. </li></ul>
