Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain flexibility to work a variable schedule between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, based on program needs. </li><li>Provide direct supervision, guidance, and ongoing support to Unit Directors, including coaching, performance feedback, and problem-solving assistance. </li><li>Assist to develop, write, and distribute weekly newsletters to keep families informed of program activities, updates, and announcements. </li><li>Assume responsibility for administrative leadership and decision-making in the absence of the Senior Director, ensuring continuity of operations. </li><li>Supervise children, groups, staff and all activities to ensure safe, healthy developmentally appropriate childcare practices. </li><li>Oversee daily care for campers inclusive of feedings and supporting social and emotional needs; children ages 5 through 15 years. </li><li>Ensure all activities encourage, engage, and support campers including instructional times, mealtimes, transitions, and gross motor activities. </li><li>Implement positive behavior management techniques. </li><li>Plan, implement and actively participate in daily age-appropriate classroom activities to ensure all children are provided with a learning opportunity. </li><li>Communicate effectively with co-workers, branch administration, and parents to develop and foster positive relationships; encourage collaboration, consistency and parent participation. </li><li>Ensure facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe daily. </li><li>Complete and maintain required program documentation including, but not limited to attendance, meal counts, and daily parent communication. </li><li>Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings and ongoing professional development trainings. </li><li>Ensure achievement of enrollment targets. </li><li>Ability to use technology to complete reports, record attendance, and other duties. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age </li><li>Have School-Age or ECE Administrator credential through DEEDs (OCCL) or be able to obtain within 10 business days. </li><li>Previous Camp experience, or experience working with children of varied ages. </li><li>Knowledge and experience supervising staff and leading children in a childcare setting. </li><li>Successful completion of criminal history, child abuse & adult abuse background check required by the State of Delaware </li><li>Become First Aid/CPR certified prior to start of camp. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Multi-lingual skills </li><li>Multi-site management experience </li></ul> <p>The YMCA of Delaware is an equal opportunity employer.
