Cayuga Health's commitment to our employees includes competitive compensation, comprehensive employee benefits programs, and the opportunity to explore and build a career in healthcare through our many professional development programs.</p> <p>A Clinical Research Coordinator needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work directly with Physician Investigators and Clinical Research Nurses on implementing clinical research being performed onsite </li><li>Primary duty is data entry: reviewing patient results in the electronic medical record and entering this data into sponsor electronic data capture systems </li><li>Involved in all aspects of clinical trial coordination including: study activation support, subject recruitment, detailed data entry, subject visits, follow-up, regulatory documentation, and coordination/preparation for monitor visits </li><li>Administrative Assistant duties such as scanning, faxing, calendar management, organizing supplies (lab kits), etc. </li><li>Assist is tracking study charges and invoicing </li><li>Report directly to the Program Manager and will have additional obligations and responsibilities as assigned by the Research Program Medical Director and Regulatory Affairs Consultant </li><li></li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work as a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Good time management and prioritization skills, with practical experience coordinating day-to-day activities of multiple projects </li><li>Welcomes constructive criticism, be open to learning new approaches </li><li>Willing to complete training on the Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical (Research) Practice (GCP) Guidelines, if not in possession of a certificate on this training </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, expected approximately 20 hours per week </li><li></li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>College-level training/education in a healthcare support field preferred </li><li>Previous EMR use/training helpful </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) as well as applications for team interconnectivity such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and WebEx </li><li>Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferred </li><li>Knowledge of or experience in Human Subject Research </li><li>Physical Requirements: </li><li>Both standing, sitting and lifting of lab supplies </li><li>Physical demands of this position include vision, hearing, repetitive motions and environment </li></ul> <p>Location and Travel Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Onsite Cayuga Park </li><li>20 hours/week, volunteer on-site position </li></ul> <p>Cayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to treating all patients, providers, staff and volunteers equitably and with dignity, ensuring the highest levels of safety, care and respect, and striving to recognize and overcome biases and policies that contribute to disparities in healthcare access, equitable care and positive health outcomes for all.</p> <p>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, supporting the growth and health of our employees and community by embracing the rich diversity, needs and circumstances of all peoples and prioritizing opportunities to build a diverse and inclusive workplace.
