This role partners cross-functionally across the organization to shape and support enterprise pricing strategies, leveraging data, analytics, and market insights to optimize pricing decisions. As a subject matter expert, this leader guides key initiatives, develops team capability, and plays a critical role in evolving pricing tools, processes, and best practices while ensuring alignment with Maverik's financial goals and customer value promise.</p> <p>Why this role matters:</p> <p>This role directly impacts in-store profitability, customer value perception, and category performance by ensuring pricing strategies are competitive, data-driven, and aligned to enterprise financial objectives.</p> <p>Location/Schedule: This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule.</p> <p>Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute in-store pricing strategies to optimize sales, margin, and customer value across categories. </li><li>Analyze category performance, pricing elasticity, and competitor trends to identify opportunities and recommend actionable pricing strategies. </li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Category Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align pricing with promotions, vendor funding, and inventory strategies. </li><li>Oversee reporting and analysis of in-store sales and margin performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership. </li><li>Develop pricing strategies for new store openings, remodels, and market expansions to ensure strong market entry and performance. </li><li>Manage and enhance pricing tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. </li></ul> <p>You'll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred. </li><li>5+ years of experience in pricing, category management, data analysis, financial analysis, or retail strategy. </li><li>1+ years in a leadership or supervisory role with experience developing and coaching team members. </li><li>Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to drive business decisions and influence outcomes. </li><li>Experience with pricing tools, forecasting, and data visualization platforms preferred. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) with experience using data to tell a clear business story. </li><li>Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer value and profitability. </li><li>Effective communicator with the ability to present insights and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. </li><li>The Maverik Spirit - you're a clear communicator, team player, and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Bonus points if you also bring:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools. </li><li>Experience supporting enterprise pricing strategies or large-scale retail environments. </li><li>Background in building or improving pricing systems, tools, or processes. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Pay Range: $95,000-$115,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities</p> <p>The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.</p> <p>Benefits Include:</p> <ul> <li>Full Health, Dental, and Vision Package with company contribution to cost </li><li>In-Store and Fuel Discounts </li><li>Retirement plan with company match (401K) </li><li>Eligible for the annual incentive bonus program </li><li>Profit Sharing: When Maverik succeeds, so do you.
