<p>Stacy and Witbeck is looking for 2-3 Engineers in the Southern California region to support our growing region. We build cool stuff; we treat each other well, and we develop and grow our people and our surrounding communities.</p> <p>Current valued employee-owners of Stacy Witbeck who are inspired by the level of pay in California's market, please respond to this post if you would like to be considered for relocation.</p> <p>What we have to offer:</p> <ul> <li>Award-winning contractor with a dynamic business model and an excellent reputation. </li><li>We are a 100% employee-owned company with a competitive ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) </li><li>Company pays 100% of employee premiums for health insurance; employee pays up to $15 per week for family premiums. </li><li>HSA and FSA plans that will allow you to divert pre-tax money. </li><li>Life insurance provided by the company at 2.5 times your yearly salary. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Managing costs; including tracking quantities and cost for production operations and materials. </li><li>Managing of subcontractors including scheduling, progress, and payments. </li><li>Writing and managing RFI's and Submittals </li><li>Powerful verbal and written communication skills </li><li>An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for; change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions. </li><li>Project schedules including 3 Week and 90 Day Look Ahead Schedules </li><li>Experience on bid-build unit price and lump sum projects with an understanding of the measurement and payment requirements </li><li>Support and maintain as built drawings </li><li>Coordination with project superintendents regarding schedule and resources including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. </li><li>Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards </li><li>Multi-tasks and stay focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues </li></ul> <p>Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree. </li><li>5-10 years' experience working on public works projects with both field and office responsibilities is required. </li><li>Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to listen, engage, and influence is vital. </li><li>Excel--Ability to navigate spreadsheets and utilize Excel as a tracking system required. </li><li>A Driver's License in good standing is required </li></ul> <p>Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience working in the greater Los Angeles County region is preferred </li><li>Those with water/wastewater experience are strongly encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
