<p>This is professional and public contact work planning, developing, and implementing certification and outreach engagement events and activities related to business enterprise programs. The primary function of this position is developing, planning and executing comprehensive outreach strategy with a focus on supplier development and business enterprise initiatives. Work requires planning and executing targeted outreach events and meetings aimed at promoting participation and educating the business community on the supplier development program; developing and maintaining a comprehensive outreach strategy to strengthen business enterprise initiatives; planning and executing Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprise (M/WBE and SBE) outreach engagement events, trainings, workshops, and technical assistance; assisting in the administration of these programs through data entry, analysis, and reporting of program performance including auditing program certification and program re-certification applications; educating businesses about certification processes and requirements as well as opportunities to participate in projects that have business enterprise goals; initiating new supplier development programs including, but not limited to, incubators and technical assistance; evaluating program outcomes from business capacity building efforts; and developing cooperative professional relationships with local business groups, civic associations, trade associations, and industrial representatives to promote business enterprise programs . Work also includes composing and preparing final reports related to capacity building, outreach, engagement, and certification initiatives, including organizing the supporting documents.</p> <p>Salary: $70,566 - $113,056</p> <p>Close Date: 07-10-2025 (11:59 PM)</p> <p>To Qualify</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:</p> <ul> <li>Have a valid Bachelor's degree with major coursework in procurement, public administration, business administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the department. </li><li>Have experience in outreach programs and a strong background in public speaking. </li><li>Have strong organizational and project management skills. </li><li>Have experience in event planning and execution. </li><li>Have previous experience with industry accreditation and certification processes including developing, reviewing, and evaluating policies and procedures. </li><li>Have strong research, writing, and computer skills. </li><li>Be able to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely, orally and in writing. </li><li>Possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable effective interaction with all stakeholder levels, including City employees, businesses, other agencies, and the public. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications.
