<p>What you'll need to succeed as a Maintenance Specialist at XPO</p> <p>Minimum qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades </li><li>Able to interpret preventive maintenance schedules </li><li>Able to interpret parts breakdowns and schematics </li><li>Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical tools </li><li>Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends </li><li>Strong time management skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least one year of apprenticeship in electrical, HVAC or plumbing. </li><li>Ability to operate specialized equipment - i.e., bandsaws, drill presses, forklifts, overhead cranes, etc. </li><li>Solid verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>About the Maintenance Specialist job</p> <p>Pay, benefits and more:</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision) </li><li>401(k) </li><li>Life Insurance </li><li>Disability </li><li>Day Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM </li></ul> <p>What you'll do on a typical day:</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment in one or more assigned areas </li><li>Maintain records of installation, maintenance and repair orders to track activities ensuring work is documented </li><li>Use various hand tools, electronic tools and measuring devices </li><li>Respond to emergencies and callouts as required; make necessary repairs timely </li><li>Operate specialized equipment and vehicles </li><li>Collaborate with and support other functional areas of the facility </li><li>Demonstrate the Company's core values and comply with all Company policies and procedures </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Maintenance Specialists are required to:</p> <ul> <li>Lift to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally </li><li>Safely walk and stand for extended periods in a facility that is not climate-controlled </li><li>Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel </li><li>Frequently use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls </li></ul> <p>About XPO</p> <p>XPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, with a highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets.
