<p>SALARY: $23.00 per hour</p> <p>The Production Control Specialist position receives and releases orders for the Production and Warehouse teams, meets the scheduled production orders and metrics daily, monitors production capacities and adjust to accommodate changes, research, resolve and document discrepancies for orders and inventory that may impact the perfect order release. This position will assist in maintaining scanned documents for Operations, as well as being responsible for assisting in the Logistics planning of the Day to Day functions for Operations.</p> <p>Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm (10 hour shifts)</p> <p>With 30 years of experience in the wireless industry, Superior Communications has become the nation's largest manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories with the broadest product offerings and services for all channels of distribution.</p> <p>You will be responsible for...</p> <ul> <li>Releasing and printing orders from WMS accurately. </li><li>Organizing and Scheduling orders by priority by Expected Ship Dates. </li><li>Releasing orders to the Warehouse Execution System with accuracy using correct priorities. </li><li>Monitor, Prioritize, and Release orders within the Warehouse Execution System </li><li>Create daily commit file which will be updated by Robotic Process Automation intelligence </li><li>Host daily Commit Meetings as needed </li><li>Monitoring hourly data commit reports to the Management team and ensuring monitors are up to date. </li><li>Assisting with creation and maintenance of daily/weekly Logistics reports. </li><li>Managing release and monitoring progress of orders received by Customers daily. </li><li>Communicating and Addressing inbound receipt and inventory discrepancies that may affect the perfect order release. </li><li>Monitoring daily data to report tracking discrepancies that impact the perfect order. </li><li>Daily effective and excellent communication with outside team members such as Order Management, Program Managers, Demand Planning, Sales, etc. on order impacts or issues. </li><li>Analyzing the Open Queue to ensure orders are released to meet customer expectations. </li><li>Assisting on analyzing the root cause of order issues from the Production floor and communicate effectively to all required parties. </li><li>Ensuring customer orders are shipped on time and managing the past due list effectively. </li><li>Assisting on following and managing the Short Pick process in Warehouse Execution System and Microsoft Teams. </li><li>Ensuring all paperwork for Operations Team is digitally scanned and saved to appropriate locations on the share drive </li><li>Plan wave releases </li><li>Assist with creating and maintaining load plans for the Production Team </li><li>Assist with scheduling pickups and exceptions requests for all LTL and FTL deliveries </li><li>Create and maintain Logistics statistics and reporting </li><li>Generating prepack internal orders as requested. Effectively schedule, monitor, and update the VASS log to ensure completion dates are met and the file remains up to date with accurate information </li><li>Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position. </li></ul> <p>You might be a great fit if...</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Able to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing job requirements. </li><li>Excellent detail orientation and organization. </li><li>Able to communicate well with others; able to work in a team environment. </li><li>Able to count and recognize product. </li><li>Able to follow instructions and be a quick learner. </li><li>Computer proficiency of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint </li><li>Ability to analyze data for production scheduling. </li><li>Must be able to read and write in English. </li><li>Basic reading and math skills. </li><li>Problem solving skills; able to analyze situations. </li><li>Must be able to read and write in English. </li><li>Minimum of one-year general warehouse experience. </li><li>Must be able to work with a PC. </li></ul> <p>Required Education/ Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, or GED </li><li>Proven experience in production control </li><li>Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM)'s and inventory tracking </li><li>Experience Planning Logistics </li><li>Experience using, teaching, and training a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) </li><li>Experience with measurement of performance goals and standards/metrics </li><li>Computer proficiency of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint </li><li>Experience analyzing data </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
