Steiner is a close family culture with a strong commitment to customer service, values, integrity and community service.</p> <p>WHAT WE OFFER:</p> <p>We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation plans </li><li>Remote work environment </li><li>Generous Paid Time Off </li><li>Internet & Phone Reimbursement </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-term and Long-term disability insurance </li><li>Learning & Development Plans </li><li>Coaching & Mentorship </li><li>401K with company match </li><li>Wellness Reimbursement Program </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</p> <p>The primary responsibility of the cross-dock manager is to manage inbound and outbound goods where they will be loaded directly onto outbound Steiner delivery vehicles, minimizing warehouse storage costs and making sure all trucks/routes loaded complete and making short-route deliveries.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Dock planning and scheduling </li><li>Sort through customer orders to make sure all orders are complete </li><li>Complete picking and loading pipe onto delivery trucks </li><li>Verify Routes are routed correctly in Innovo Route </li><li>Create Manifests for drivers </li><li>Inspect goods for accuracy and quality when unloading/loading </li><li>Match shipments to their associated routes </li><li>Use RF handheld and Steiner business system where needed </li><li>Safely store goods in proper warehouse locations when needed </li><li>Report damages or shortages to the appropriate branch immediately </li><li>Ensure safety rules, company policies and regulations are followed </li><li>Oversee the number of stops, weight and condition of loads and Steiner delivery routes </li><li>Protect to ensure all loads are secured so no damage occurs during transit </li><li>Effectively communicate with management </li><li>Ensure all manifests are closed daily </li><li>Monitor delivery progress via Innovo Deliver </li><li>Assist in monitoring truck maintenance schedules and daily damage inspections </li><li>Assist in managing a team of drivers at the facility </li><li>Responsible for all inbound and outbound freight at the facility </li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned by manager </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE'LL NEED FROM YOU:</p> <ul> <li>Strong computer skills </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>The ability to effectively communicate professionally with Steiner, customer, and vendor personnel at all levels of the company. </li><li>The ability to work under time constraints </li><li>The ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment </li><li>2+ years warehouse experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements of the Essential Functions of this Position:</p> <ul> <li>The ability to become forklift certified. </li><li>The ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. </li><li>Lift and carry up to 50 pounds including large bulky items. </li><li>Stand on concrete surface for extended length of time. </li><li>Bending and twisting motions required. </li><li>Pushing and pulling fully loaded manual pallet jacks and carts. </li></ul> <p>We look forward to hearing from you.</p> <p>Steiner is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment.
