This individual is highly responsible for overseeing all accounting activities in the Americas and Europe region and all corporate financial reporting processes including consolidation entries and consolidated financial statements. This role is also accountable for the initial evaluation of U.S. GAAP as it relates to the company's transactions and providing a written recommendation for proper application of the standards. In addition to providing primary support to the senior executive director of global accounting with regard to managing all financial aspects of the region, this individual partners with regional senior management to provide financial support in accomplishing market objectives within the region.</p> <p>An ideal candidate in this role is able to showcase confidence in their decision-making ability, hold themselves and others to extremely high standards and principles, and is a respected and approachable leader and mentor.</p> <p>What You Will Do as USANA's Corporate Controller</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate accounting and non-accounting personnel to ensure the accurate and timely closing of fiscal periods for the Americas and Europe region, including internal controls over financial accounts; lead close process reengineering efforts to identify and address inefficiencies </li><li>Oversee the timely preparation of consolidation entries and consolidated financial statements each month following the close of a fiscal period </li><li>Oversee the process for providing consolidated financial analytics over major financial statement line items </li><li>Collaborate with internal controls to assess risks, establish controls, allocate control responsibilities to staff, and ensure proper training for control performance </li><li>Supervise drafting of SEC financial periodic reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 11-K </li><li>Manage the annual financial audit engagement through sound preparation, coordination, and efficient resolution of issues such that the audit is completed in a timely manner and fees are minimized </li><li>Evaluate U.S. GAAP as it relates to new transactions affecting the company and provide a written recommendation for properly applying the standards </li><li>Lead the Inventory / COGS Committee by collaborating with relevant Company personnel to achieve cost control initiatives </li></ul> <p>Background and Skills You Will Need</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in accounting or other business-related degree; CPA certified </li><li>Experience working as a financial auditor or managing internal financial controls with 7-10 years of leadership experience in an accounting role </li><li>Proficiency in evaluating U.S. GAAP and applying standards to specific facts and circumstances </li><li>Understanding of SEC rules & regulations (including XBRL) and application to the Company </li><li>Experience with a large ERP platform in a manufacturing environment, including subsidiary modules, general ledger, and consolidation (Oracle, SAP) </li><li>Technology skills, including financial reporting, analytics, and database management </li></ul> <p>What Will Make You Standout</p> <ul> <li>International accounting experience </li><li>SEC reporting experience </li><li>Strong sense of integrity and a high level of ethical values </li></ul> <p>Benefits of Being Part of the USANA Family</p> <p>We offer incredible benefits like health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; on-site medical and mental health clinic, chiropractic visits, massages, fitness classes, and a full-service gym; free and discounted USANA product; 401k match and profit-sharing bonuses; internal and external opportunities for learning and development; paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers, and generous paid time-off to help you balance work and home!</p> <p>__</p> <p>USANA Health Sciences, Inc. will never ask candidates to submit personal identifiable information via email or attachments.
