<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Saint Mary's Hospital, Lab Waterbury, CT PER DIEM</p> <p>You would be responsible for accurately fixes, embeds, cuts and stains tissue for Pathologist interpretation and diagnosis. Provides quality technical and customer service to all customers.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assisting the Pathologist in the gross surgical specimen examination. Accurately labeling and embedding surgical and autopsy cases.</p> </li><li> <p>Cutting and mounting surgical and autopsy cases. Staining specimens with H & E and special stains as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing and staining specimens for immunohistochemical studies.</p> </li><li> <p>Receiving and preparing specimens to be sent to a reference laboratory.</p> </li><li> <p>Filling all gross specimens, paraffin blocks and slides derived from surgical and autopsy specimens.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizing existing QC/QA program as required by regulatory agencies. Assisting in the inspection by all regulatory agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Entering diagnostic results into the laboratory computer.
