<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Registered Nurses (RN) in the PACU delivers post-anesthesia care to patients and asses their status to ensure they safely regain consciousness, monitor, and look for signs of difficulty breathing, raising blood pressure, hypothermia, and agitation.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <p>In this critical role you will assist in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient.</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduation from an accredited nursing school</p> </li><li> <p>Valid RN License in Connecticut</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Ideal candidates will have one or more years of PACU.ICU, Critical Care nursing experience</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Part Time-24hrs/Day Shift-8 Hour Days </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
