<p>OVERVIEW</p> <p>The Coordinator of Educational Technology and Digital Learning will be responsible for the technical, operational, and educational technology functions for the school district. Provides leadership in technology across the school district in instruction, management, curriculum development, and integration. Development and implementation of technology-infused initiatives for the district, including the renewed focus on development, coordination, articulation, implementation, assessment, and oversight of the digital learning environment.</p> <p>The Coordinator should possess a broad working knowledge of computers, networks, and other technologies, computer applications, and instructional software; an in-depth understanding of curriculum development; knowledge of content-area curricula and standards; and direct knowledge of teaching and instruction.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Leads the ongoing collaborative development and implementation of the district's technology vision </li><li>Project manager for all technology-related projects throughout the district </li><li>Works in partnership with the Principal, Director of Academics, Director of CTE, and Administration to develop instructional practices that leverage digital learning and instruction </li><li>Oversee the implementation of digital learning as part of the statewide frameworks, including the Curriculum Frameworks, Computer Science and Digital Literacy Standards, and the related Vocational Education Frameworks </li><li>Coordinate and develop professional development and training efforts in technology across the system, including administrators, teachers, and support staff </li><li>Coordinate the design, development, maintenance, and oversight of the technology infrastructure, including the network infrastructure, hardware, and software licensing to support connectivity for students, faculty, and staff to computing resources and applications provided by a network, including file and application servers. </li><li>Coordinates the system-wide inventory of technology assets </li><li>Coordinates the development and maintenance of computing standards relative to an overall strategy to provide an appropriate degree of standardization </li><li>Maintains and recommends all technology-related district policies with feedback provided by Administration, the technology team, and in accordance with industry standards. </li><li>Recommends and oversees all the technological needs, which include infrastructure, hardware, and software, with the necessary constituents </li><li>Evaluates all district data systems and develops/executes a global strategic plan to integrate systems </li><li>Purchase, monitor, and document software and online programs for the district </li><li>Work with administrators, department leads, and teachers in applications and selection of appropriate software and hardware </li><li>Oversee and assist in state and federal reporting requirements </li><li>Oversee the development, purchase, and deployment of the technology budget </li><li>District contact for all technology-related communication </li><li>Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and facilitation of a comprehensive plan to increase proficiency in digital learning for instruction. </li><li>Coordinate the development and help facilitate day-to-day operational plans with administrators, department leads, Instructional Technology Specialists, Library Media Specialist, and teachers for technology use and integration within the existing curricula </li><li>Supervises and coordinates Next Gen MCAS 2.0, or state-mandated high-stakes equivalent, allocation of resources and technical support </li><li>Provide leadership to others in the technology department through planning and coordination of priorities and schedules </li><li>Provides supervision and evaluation of all technology personnel to foster shared leadership and collaboration </li><li>Serves as a clearinghouse of information on trends, research, applications, and effective practices related to the use of technology in the schools. </li><li>Liaison with established state and national technology groups </li><li>Promotes the school district on local, state, and national levels through conferences, workshops, seminars, and technology associations </li><li>Develop annual goals and a timeline for the technology plan. </li><li>Oversees the reporting to the DESE as it relates to student data </li><li>Perform other related duties as developed and assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee </li></ul> <p>The Coordinator of Educational Technology and Digital Learning will report directly to the Director of Business Operations.</p>
