<p>Full Time (80 hours/pay period)</p> <p>Days</p> <p>General Summary</p> <p>Performs a variety of technical and general duties at an advanced skills and knowledge level.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques in concurrence with established laboratory policies and procedures. </li><li>Responsible for all technical procedures utilized in the preparation of microscopic slides including tissue processing, paraffin block sectioning, and H&E staining. </li><li>Responsible for the production of high-quality slides from frozen or fixed tissues. This will include trimming, embedding, processing, sectioning using a microtome/cryostat, staining with H&E, special stains, and immunohistochemistry. </li><li>Performs equipment maintenance, reagent recycling/reclamation and efficient use of the pathology laboratory information system and specimen tracking system. </li><li>Performs a variety of duties at progressively greater skill levels under varying degrees of supervision, including special projects and training staff; holds in-charge responsibilities as necessary </li><li>Assists in implementing policies and procedures for department operation. </li></ul> <p>Required for All Jobs:</p> <ul> <li>Performs other related duties as identified. </li><li>WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics. Required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree Preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>3 years Medical technology or a related science.
