<p>Broadcast Production Assistant</p> <p>WPTZ/WNNE, the NBC affiliate in South Burlington, VT has an opening for a part-time Broadcast Production Assistant. We are looking for a team player who understands the flexible schedule that the broadcast industry requires to join our production crew. You will be responsible for operating cameras, teleprompter, audio-board, graphics and video equipment related to live broadcasts and post-production. You will work with our production team to guarantee a successful broadcast is produced. You will report to the Studio Operations Manager.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate cameras and studio floor directing </li><li>Move and handle props and sets during productions </li><li>Construction, maintenance, installation and operation of props, cameras, prompters, sets and other production equipment </li><li>Lighting and script preparation for newscasts </li><li>Maintain appearance of studios including cleaning of set and floors </li><li>Understand and maintain lighting grid and control board </li><li>Climb ladders to change light bulbs and adjust fixtures on the grid </li><li>Edit syndicated promos for air and web content using Adobe Premiere </li><li>Assist the directors </li><li>In-person attendance is required </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software </li><li>Videography experience helpful </li><li>Editing experience is necessary </li><li>Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production </li><li>Related military experience will be considered </li></ul> <p>Value in Action</p> <p>At Hearst Television we tell stories every day. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.</p>
