If you're ready for the right place to belong and grow your career, you can find it here. \nBenefits that set us apart. \n\nComprehensive medical?including Fertility, Adoption benefits, Dental, and Vision Insurance \nOnsite Health & Wellness Center \nEmployer 401K contribution in the top 1% of the nation\nTuition Assistance \nAccess to Employee Store \n\nWhat You Do.\n\nSelf-motivated with keen attention to details in performing sanitation tasks as outlined by Technical Services Supervisor.\nWork with a small team setting with other sanitation technicians to complete sanitation functions/duties to the Sargento standards to include:\n\nMoving/Dismantling of machinery and equipment so that they can be thoroughly cleaned, sanitized according to Sargento standards. \nCleaning and sanitizing machinery, equipment, dishes, tools, counters, walls, and floor surfaces.\nUse of cleaning solutions, chemicals, liquids, and caustics to remove excess food soils from machines, equipment, conveyors, floors, walls, tables, etc.\nReassembling of equipment.\nAssist sanitation lead in inspection of lab facilities and equipment following clean-up for conformance to company standards. Responsible for the quality of work completed.\nRemoval of waste material and debris from the ELTC functional areas. \nUse of a cabinet washer, chemical foamer, and commercial dishwasher will be required.\n\n\nSupport Package Engineering group with:\n\nPackaging R&D material qualifications by performing package integrity testing of materials in packaging labs, pilot plant, and in manufacturing facilities.\nCreation of production representative product and packaging in pilot plant for consumer and market testing.\nPackage prototype creation in packaging labs, pilot plant, and in manufacturing facilities.\nPerforming a variety of routine packaging lab tasks including operation and maintenance of test equipment and design tools and ordering stock materials.\n\n\nInteracts with sensory panelists and assist Sensory Technician with:\n\nLabeling plates/cups for sensory tests.\nPreparing samples according to detailed protocols.\nTransporting samples and equipment to sensory test sites.\n\n\nAt times assist in Shipping and Receiving function for the Elkhart Lake Facility:\n\nAssist in inventory management of products and raw materials to comply with Company track & trace policies.\nReceive materials, parts, equipment, etc.\nShipping of samples, small packages, parts, and equipment.\nClean-out of areas.\nRemoving materials and samples from inventory.\n\n\nPrepare equipment, raw materials and assist in plant trials.\nBack-up Operator when out on PTO.\n\nMilk Standardization\nCheesemake\n\n\nCertified Trainer for Forklift and LOTO for Elkhart Lake facility.\nFlexible Schedule - may be asked to work on alternate shift.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nPerform the duties mentioned above in accordance with the company procedures, including but not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\n\nYour Education and Experience. \n\n High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment is desired.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of Box or similar document retention software.\nValid driver's license is required.\n\n?Your Qualifications. \n\nWillingness to complete Forklift, High Lift, Floor Scrubber, Chemical safety, GMP and LOTO certification upon hire.\nOccasionally lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs with assistance. \n\nOur Environment.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, you are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. You are occasionally exposed to high places; extreme cold; extreme heat; the risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. You must be able to tolerate humid, steamy conditions. You also must be able to work with sanitation chemicals used to wash and sanitize food production rooms.
