For more than 60 years, Hamilton has been satisfying customer needs by combining quality materials with skilled workmanship, ensuring the highest level of performance of every precision fluid measuring device we manufacture.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Hamilton Company is looking for a CNC Operator Lead to support success in the machine shop. Under the direction of a supervisor, they will perform various tasks making safety, quality, and production the priority. Many of these tasks include support through leadership of employees, organization of demands and attention to team specific issues. The CNC Operator Lead is designated to help execute the area mission and achieve production goals. They will be responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes and milling machines.</p> <ul> <li>Leads are tasked to be individually productive, support the production goals and growth of the people in your area. </li><li>Leads can and should communicate expectations and provide feedback directly to employees. </li><li>Leads need to inform their supervisor of any issues that may hinder the area's ability to succeed. Anything that sacrifices Safety, Quality and Production should be mentioned to the supervisor promptly. </li><li>Leads will coordinate with supervisor in communicating time and attendance requests. </li><li>Correct safety concerns, provide guidance and communicate issues back to Director of manufacturing. </li><li>Inform Director of issues that hinder employee or team ability to succeed prioritizing safety, quality, and production. </li><li>Provide training support for new hires. </li><li>Support production goals and technical growth of all team members. </li><li>Aid team in improving problem solving skills and practices of trouble shooting techniques. </li><li>Maintain awareness of team working conditions and take corrective actions when needed. </li><li>Understand limitations regarding conflict, labor, and attendance. </li><li>Chose proper avenues of support when reaching limitations. </li></ul> <p>CNC Operator Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. </li><li>Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, the sequence of operations and setup requirements. </li><li>Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. </li><li>Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations </li><li>May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments such as calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bards, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines. </li><li>Possesses above average verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. </li><li>Must be willing and able work flexible shifts and changing work schedules. </li><li>Must possess basic math skills. </li><li>Exhibits patience and supports a team first mentality. </li><li>Leads by example and Practices constructive leadership skills. </li><li>High level understanding of teamwork flow and technical knowhow. </li><li>Displays interest in continuous improvement. </li><li>Ability to program for all types of work centers in machine shop. </li><li>Knowledgeable of where to find resources and support outside of the team. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>About Hamilton</p> <ul> <li>Diverse portfolio of exciting and innovative design projects </li><li>Tremendous opportunities for professional growth </li><li>Commitment to sustainable design </li><li>Competitive Compensation </li><li>Excellent Benefits Package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation time, paid sick time, disability insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement and much more </li><li>Solid Stable Company </li><li>Drug-free workplace </li></ul> <p>Mid Salary</p>
