<p>Akkodis is seeking a NOC Technician for a Contract with a client in Melville, NY. You will monitor network events and perform initial triage in a 24x7 environment, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.</p> <p>Rate Range: $32.99/hour to $34.99/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>NOC Technician job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitor critical network systems 24x7x365, respond to alarms, and initiate incident management processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Answer customer support calls, create tickets, and perform initial triage for issue resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose hardware, software, and system issues, resolving problems using documented processes and run books.</p> </li><li> <p>Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams and maintain accountability for incident tickets until closure.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate updates and notifications to customers and internal stakeholders according to defined procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure accurate ticket handover during shift changes and maintain compliance with operational guidelines.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>1-2 years of experience in telecommunications or a similar technical field.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to diagnose hardware, software, and system issues in a 24x7 operational environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., SONET, IP subnetting, Layer 2/3 routing) and familiarity with optical platforms and NMS/EMS systems.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
