<p>Deposit Operations Specialist</p> <p>Classification: Exempt</p> <p>Salary Grade: 5 Management</p> <p>Reports to: SVP-Treasury Operations</p> <p>Job Description Date: November 2024</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The Treasury Management Deposit Operation Specialist (DOS) will be responsible for processing and handling the new account opening process for Commercial and Treasury related deposits. The role will be critical to meeting daily deadlines and enhancing the client's deposit account opening process experience while mitigating risk for the bank's depository and treasury management business.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Operational Support:</p> <ul> <li>Accountable for account opening, data management, quality control, and process workflows. </li><li>Demonstrates mastery level proficiency in all Depository products and processes. </li><li>Accountable for compliance and risk controls. </li><li>Coordinates and collaborates with AML and BSA for ensuring controls are adhered to. </li><li>Lead KYC and KYA controls for Commercial and TM Accounts. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client experience is met. </li></ul> <p>Other responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitating new processes, tools and training to ensure the clients and bank's success. </li><li>Assist in the development of the sales and deposit strategy, procedures to achieve the overall banks' goals. </li><li>Spearhead internal audits and reviews. </li><li>Participate in technology requirements for enhancing products or processes. </li><li>Cross-Training as needed with other internal TM Departments for additional support. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of combined sales and depository / treasury management. experience - preferably at a financial institution. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills. </li><li>Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills. </li><li>Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and build relationships. </li><li>The ability to work in a high-energy environment, fast-paced work environment and adapt quickly to changing situations. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. </li><li>Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. </li><li>Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <p>Ethics/Integrity: Knowledge of practices, behaviors, applicable laws, rules and regulations governing proper business conduct.</p> <p>Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches, tools and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment.</p> <p>Customer Service: Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.</p> <p>Productivity: Manages workload, works efficiently, meets goals and objectives.</p> <p>Quality: Strives to eliminate errors, accurate work is a priority, seeks opportunities to improve products/services.</p> <p>Cooperation: Willingness to work harmoniously with others in getting a job done. Readiness to respond positively to instructions and procedures.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>No supervisory responsibilities</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.</p> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:</p> <p>Some flexibility in hours is necessary, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.</p> <p>Travel:</p> <p>Travel for this position is limited to travel for meetings/training.</p> <p>Additional Eligibility Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced Excel skills. </li><li>Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Proven track record of reliability and responsibility.
