<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This is a 3rd Shift position. Sunday-Thursday 10:30PM-7:00AM. Under direct supervision, this individual will perform a broad range of tasks involving molding production support. This includes equipment and process set-up, troubleshooting production problems, continuous improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include the performance of simple maintenance.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a controlled injection molding process by using a scientific and systematic approach </li><li>Daily Mold cleanings, mold setup and mold pull activities. </li><li>Receives work order and verifies that the components are correct. </li><li>Verifies work before proceeding with operations. </li><li>Completes all documentation correctly and consistently, maintaining minimal errors in production paperwork. </li><li>Follow all safety guidelines of the molding area including utilization of PPE. </li><li>Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to ensure part quality/performance </li><li>Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines/tools </li><li>Identify and lead lean initiatives using ICU continuous improvement system. </li><li>Mentor Setup and Process Technicians </li><li>Perform Line Clearance and document process parameters </li><li>Perform material handling duties and activities as required </li><li>Perform all process tech I duties and activities as required </li><li>Must perform tasks directed by manager </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Must have strong knowledge of Plastic Processing </li><li>Demonstrate ability to set/start/and complete first article inspections. Capturing plastic conditions, mold cavity balance and complete paperwork </li><li>Ability to identify different molding defects </li><li>Ability to consistently meet set standards for cycle times on molding machines </li><li>1 year knowledge of take-out robots and EOAT </li><li>Ability to set up hot runner controls </li><li>General hydraulic and pneumatic experience </li><li>Ability to graph data that can be used for a path to problem solving </li><li>Experience with robotics and automated delivery systems preferred </li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical/mold drawings </li><li>Ability to train/transfer knowledge to others </li><li>Capable of advanced trouble shooting skills </li><li>Must be a creative problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of processing issues. </li><li>Safety driven </li><li>Excellent attention to detail </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) </li><li>Good written and oral communications skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills. </li><li>Collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>High School Diploma required </li><li>3+ years Injection Molding with Setup or Manufacturing experience preferred OR </li><li>3 years injection Molding/ Manufacturing experience plus certification in lieu of experience. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in a clean room environment </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; depending on the machine they are operating </li><li>Operator is required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data </li><li>Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 50 pounds </li><li>Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time </li></ul> <p>ICU Medical has consistently provided you with clinical innovations that help solve real-world challenges.</p> <p>With the acquisition of Hospira Infusion Systems in 2017 and Smiths Medical in 2022, we are now a global market leader with a complete line of clinically-essential IV therapy and high-value critical care products for hospital, alternate site, and home care settings.</p> <p>We're ready to bring you consistent quality, innovation, and value in more areas than ever.
