Our service-oriented mission is in action every day, whether it's by providing care in our facilities, training the next generation of health care professionals, or serving others through international outreach.</p> <p>Campus Overview</p> <p>Kettering Health Hamilton</p> <ul> <li>Kettering Health Hamilton, formerly Fort Hamilton Hospital, has been serving the Hamilton community for over 90 years. </li><li>Leads the way to better health in the Butler County area, serving patients from Fairfield, Oxford, Cincinnati, Middletown and surrounding communities. </li><li>KH Hamilton offerings include maternity, emergency, the most advanced wound healing in Butler County, and a range of outpatient services. </li><li>In 2020, KH Hamilton received an "A" from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States. </li><li>Full-service, community hospital licensed for 203 beds. </li><li>In 2020, KH Hamilton received several awards from Healthgrades: </li><li>America's 250 Best Hospitals (2018-2020) </li><li>America's 100 Best Pulmonary Care (2018-2020) </li><li>Gastrointestinal Care Excellence Award (2020) </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities & Requirements</p> <p>Patient Registration I position's major duties include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Registering patients while demonstrating strong guest relations and exceptional customer service and effective communication. </li><li>Reviewing all scheduled outpatient visits prior to service to ensure that all patients have been screened for discounts </li><li>Ensuring that payer sources and payment arrangements and options have been discussed </li><li>Assist patients with the completion of Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Application and Medicaid Applications (if applicable) </li><li>Review an account for quality and confirmation and can demonstrate the ability to update all aspects of a patient account </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature and documents </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous registration or scheduling experience strongly preferred </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li><li>Meets Pre-Screening Protocol and testing for proficiencies in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledge </li><li>Demonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levels </li><li>Ability to learn site specific patient processing software. </li><li>Computer literate and very strong with Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Ability to function in high paced often stressful environment and/or circumstances while maintaining a respectful, caring and professional manner </li><li>Flexible schedule to fit staffing needs. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required </li><li>One or more years of medical office or customer service experience required </li></ul>
