You will ship fasteners, tools, raw materials and other related items to customers.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ship fasteners, tools, raw materials, and other related items to customers </li><li>Ship orders as they are prioritized by supervisors or the sales department. </li><li>Picking product </li><li>Pull customer and branch orders for fasteners, tools, and related items. </li><li>Use RF scanners (as applicable) to ensure that accurate information is recorded, including tracking information and box/weight count. </li><li>Accurately enter information on hardcopy packing lists, customer invoices, freight manifests, bills of lading, and/or in the computer system </li></ul> <p>Schedule freight company pickups and deliveries:</p> <ul> <li>Contact freight companies, if necessary, to schedule pickups and ensure that product is prepared and documented for pickup. </li><li>Work with supervisors or the sales department if shipping requirements cannot be met, or if alternatives may provide better price or service. </li></ul> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment. </li></ul> <p>Decision/Information Sharing and Communication</p> <ul> <li>Must enter accurate data on product, quantities, back-orders, etc. </li><li>Seek supervisor or purchasing assistance for products that are shipped incorrectly. </li><li>Work well with other warehouse departments, including order pulling, shipping, and packaging, to ensure productive and efficient workflow in the warehouse. </li><li>Report safety hazards to Supervisors or other Managers immediately </li></ul> <p>Certification Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Employees operating forklifts or cherry-pickers must be trained and certified. </li></ul> <p>Physical requirements</p> <ul> <li>This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs. </li><li>This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours) </li></ul> <p>Shift:</p> <p>M-F, 7am - 4pm</p>
