<p>St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, Career Development. The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Career Development are to offer career counseling; resume, cover letter, and job/internship search advisement; and assist with the management of Career Center programs, including STAC Your Future, STAC Chats, workshops, employer site visits, the National Society of Leadership & Success, and the Aquinas Leaders scholarship and service program.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:</p> <p>Program and Event Management</p> <ul> <li>In conjunction with the Director of Career Development, oversee the creation and execution of each academic school series of STAC Your Future programming and marketing. </li><li>Manage the data and communication elements for the Aquinas Leaders program under the direction of the Dean of Experiential Learning; assist the Dean with educational programming content </li><li>Serve as co-chapter advisor for the National Society of Leadership & Success. </li><li>Assist the Dean of Experiential Learning with management and execution of the Skills Immersion Program. </li><li>Assist the Dean of Experiential Learning with collecting and managing key employer data and engagement. </li><li>Assist the Director of Career Development with the oversight of the On Campus Internship Program </li><li>Supervise the department Social Media and Marketing Intern. </li><li>Serve as instructor for STAC 102 and 201 courses. </li></ul> <p>Career Counseling</p> <ul> <li>In one-on-one appointments and in group settings, advise and coach students and alumni in support of: major and minor courses of study, resumes, cover letter, Linked In, interview prep, and internship/job search strategies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required </li><li>1 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education. </li><li>Some teaching experience desirable, but not required. </li><li>A collaborative work style. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. </li><li>Computer skills required. Prefer knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Proficiency with social media platforms required. </li><li>Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of physical and academic abilities. </li><li>Work hours are specific to the requirements of this position, which typically involve traditional day office hours, but also include occasional evenings and weekends.
