The ideal candidate will have the desire to contribute immediately to the continued growth of a premier regional Consulting practice. The position will require excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will require the analyst to work on multiple projects at any one time.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead valuation engagements in a wide variety of industries for the following purposes: financial reporting purposes (ASC 805/ASC 350), 409A/ASC 718 (stock based compensation), gift and estate tax, management planning, litigation support, and/or M&A </li><li>Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships </li><li>Oversee day-to-day activities of the practice, including managing and mentoring less experienced team members and peers </li><li>Assume responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables </li><li>Perform and manage the reviews of third party valuations for audit support purposes </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Background/Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, or Economics </li><li>CFA, CPA/ABV, or ASA designation, or progress towards one of the designations with plans to fully obtain within 12 months of hire date </li><li>Minimum 5 years of recent financial advisory and valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firm </li><li>Significant experience with the valuations of businesses, intangible assets, purchase price allocations, and financial analysis and research </li><li>Excellent leadership potential </li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills in the areas of Finance and Accounting </li><li>Good understanding of financial markets expected </li><li>Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships, with a focus on providing superior client service </li><li>Well organized, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure to meet challenging client requirements </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Have the ability to effectively use technology </li><li>Team player </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required) </li><li>Strict adherence to professional ethics </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Core working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with minimum of 3 days per week working in the office. </li><li>Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations </li><li>Travel for this position may be required, but is not anticipated to be more than 10% </li><li>Ability to sit for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to move throughout office </li><li>Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate </li></ul> <p>One Firm</p> <p>To foster a highly respected, inclusive culture that helps foster and promote an environment that is diverse and equitable for all team members and the firm to achieve growth and deepened expertise.
