Bring your big ideas knowing you are safe to be who you are and speak up with concerns or questions and put your diverse talents and perspectives</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines</p> <p>Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverables</p> <p>Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production</p> <p>Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews</p> <p>Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules</p> <p>Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members</p> <p>Other potential duties:</p> <p>May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports</p> <p>May assist with creation of design guides and templates</p> <p>May provide support to business development or pursuit activitie</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>As part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. ?The following are preferred qualifications:</p> <p>Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems</p> <p>Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective</p> <p>Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity</p> <p>Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems</p> <p>Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design</p> <p>4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.</p> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary Plan</p> <p>ENS: Eng & Technical Specialties</p> <p>Job Grade</p> <p>016</p>
