<p>Reports To: Director of Personnel</p> <p>Employment Status: Full-time (260 days) position - Unclassified</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Hours: Monday - Friday - 7:30 - 4:30</p> <p>Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and LIfe Insurance</p> <p>Hourly Range: $22.77-$26.14</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED is a basic requirement.</p> <p>Prior clerical or administrative experience in a school or office setting is essential.</p> <p>Experience working with students or families from diverse backgrounds, especially those in challenging circumstances or experiencing homelessness, is highly desirable.</p> <p>Knowledge and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and related federal and state guidelines regarding the educational rights of homeless children and youth is a must. </li><li>Familiarity with community resources and social services available to support homeless families. </li><li>Understanding of student enrollment procedures and the ability to identify and remove barriers to enrollment for students experiencing homelessness. </li><li>Coordinate with local agencies and community partners to help school personnel identify students experiencing homelessness. </li><li>Collaborate with school and district personnel to enroll students experiencing homelessness and ensure they have equal opportunities to succeed academically. </li><li>Connect students and families experiencing homelessness with educational services, including access to preschool programs and other support services. </li><li>Refer students experiencing homelessness for health-related needs, housing assistance, and other wraparound supports. </li><li>Engage families experiencing homelessness by providing them with information about their rights and ensuring their meaningful participation in their students' education. </li><li>Distribute public notices about the educational rights of students experiencing homelessness at locations frequently visited by affected families. </li><li>Ensure the district mediates disputes in accordance with the McKinney-Vento Act. </li><li>Collaborate with transportation directors to ensure that students experiencing homelessness have access to transportation for school and related activities. </li><li>Provide professional development to school and district personnel to support the needs of students experiencing homelessness. </li><li>Support the needs of unaccompanied youth. </li><li>Maintain and support the automated substitute placement system and Frontline Absence Management System (AESOP). </li><li>Maintain a substitute spreadsheet for classified staff and coordinate all substitute placements. </li><li>Maintain a substitute teacher spreadsheet and coordinate all substitute teacher placements. </li><li>Maintain a spreadsheet for 'floating' personnel (eg., counselors, nurses, etc.). </li><li>Be knowledgeable about Final Forms and the enrollment process to effectively inform parents. </li><li>Assist the EMIS Coordinator with enrollment. </li><li>Assist families with student enrollment in Final Forms. </li><li>Assist job applicants with the application process. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be needed for potential outreach activities, home visits, or travel between school sites. </li><li>Ability to pass a fingerprint and background check. </li><li>Flexibility to work occasionally outside of normal school hours for meetings or events. </li><li>Professional development and ongoing training related to the McKinney-Vento Act are also a continuous requirement once in the role. </li></ul> <p>AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p>
