Enjoy competitive benefits and a supportive workplace where your contributions truly matter!</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>PTO and Paid Holidays </li><li>No nights or weekends! </li><li>Optional Medical, dental and vision plans </li><li>401(k) retirement plan </li><li>Company-paid life insurance with/AD&D benefit </li><li>Company-paid long-term disability plan </li><li>Optional life insurance and short-term disability plan </li><li>Optional Critical Illness Plan </li><li>Optional Accident Insurance Plan </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties / Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and ONE Health Ohio staff </li><li>Handle all calls in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Checking patients in and out using proper procedures and addressing all questions the patient may have. </li><li>Completing new patient profiles. </li><li>Verify patient's insurance information in the EHR. </li><li>Verify household income before placing a patient on a sliding fee scale. </li><li>Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. </li><li>Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by maintaining the computerized appointment calendar. </li><li>Inform patients of ONE Health Ohio's policies and procedures regarding billing, payment of fees, sliding fee schedules, and payment options. </li><li>Collect applicable patient fees at the time of service. </li><li>Set up follow-up appointments and providing the patient their patient plans. </li><li>Reconcile the nightly deposit as per policy. </li><li>Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li><li>Preset a positive and professional attitude </li><li>Planning and organizational skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) </li><li>Ability to identify problems and to propose feasible solutions </li><li>Ability to maintain accurate records </li><li>Ability to enter and maintain data in various company software programs. </li><li>Knowledge of company's policies and procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of modern office equipment, troubleshooting, practices, and procedures. </li><li>Interpersonal/human relations skills </li><li>Proficient telephone skills </li><li>Time Management </li><li>Attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Patient check-in/out </li><li>Completing new patient profiles </li><li>Insurance information verification </li><li>Sliding fee scale competency </li><li>Healthcare experience desired </li><li>NextGen experience desired </li><li>CPR or ability to obtain </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time </li><li>Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction </li><li>Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard </li><li>Communication skills using the spoken word </li><li>Ability to see within normal parameters and hear within normal range </li><li>Ability to move about </li></ul> <p>NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
