This role focuses on compliance with state and district requirements, meaningful engagement with students' strengths and interests, and leadership in professional learning to support differentiated instruction through Problem Based Learning (PBL).</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>? Oversee the K-12 identification process for gifted and talented students in accordance with Colorado's Exceptional Student Education Act and DCSD requirements.</p> <p>? Lead the development, implementation, and annual updates of Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) for all identified gifted students, including strength-based and affective goals.</p> <p>? Collaborate with K-8 classroom teachers to enrich, differentiate, and extend curriculum and instruction that supports both academic and affective growth for GT students.</p> <p>? Monitor and report student progress toward ALP goals, ensuring alignment with district timelines and state expectations.</p> <p>? Serve as a resource and instructional coach for faculty regarding best practices in gifted education and Problem Based Learning.</p> <p>? Facilitate professional development sessions and parent education nights to increase understanding of GT programming and differentiation strategies.</p> <p>? Promote a supportive and inclusive school climate that recognizes and addresses the needs of gifted learners.</p> <p>? Participate in all required DCSD trainings and compliance activities related to gifted education.</p> <p>? Support efforts to build awareness and implementation of differentiated instruction through problem-based and inquiry-driven learning models.</p> <p>? Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success and program integrity.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <p>? Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution</p> <p>? Valid Colorado teaching license with Gifted Education Endorsement</p> <p>? Strong understanding of gifted and talented education principles and Colorado GT identification processes</p> <p>? Demonstrated knowledge of Problem Based Learning and differentiated instruction</p> <p>? Experience using digital platforms including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Google Suite</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>? Experience working with GT students in a K-12 or multi-grade setting</p> <p>? Minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience</p> <p>? Experience designing or supporting ALPs</p> <p>? Strong facilitation and collaboration skills</p> <p>Essential Physical Requirements:</p> <p>? Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds.</p> <p>? Ability to stand or walk for 90 minutes.</p> <p>?
