<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Distribution Control and Integration Engineer in Armonk, NY.</p> <p>Summary: The client is looking for an Engineer to support the Distribution Control & Integration (DC&I) team in the programming, testing, and commissioning of FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration) schemes across Massachusetts. This role is critical to accelerating FLISR deployment and ensuring high-quality, reliable automation of distribution networks.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>FLISR Scheme Development: Validate device settings for reclosers, voltage regulators, and capacitor banks. </li><li>Programming & Testing: Execute Orion FLISR logic programming based on operational overview documents; Complete functional testing using standardized job aids and reference manuals; Document and validate test results in FLISR Functional Testing Worksheets. </li><li>Commissioning Support: Participate in commissioning activities and ensure readiness for load across multiple FLISR projects; Coordinate with field crews, PTO, and telecom teams to complete FDAR workflows and database updates </li><li>Documentation & Compliance: Follow engineering procedures for FLISR design and implementation; Maintain accurate records of device configurations, testing outcomes, and commissioning milestones </li><li>Collaboration & Communication: Attend scope review meetings with Planning, ADMS, and GridMod teams; Provide technical updates during DC&I Engineering Hub and FLISR alignment calls* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field </li><li>3+ years of experience in distribution automation, protection engineering, or SCADA systems </li><li>Proficiency in DNP & MODBUS protocol </li><li>Familiarity with ADMS, EMS, and SCADA </li><li>Strong documentation and testing skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Novatech Orion RTU, and SEL controls (651R2, 734B, 734P) </li><li>Experience with Distribution Protection </li><li>Experience with FLISR (Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration) </li></ul>
