This role facilitates a collaborative approach to compassionate care by providing essential operational, administrative, and day-to-day management support across community-based settings.</p> <p>The Assistant Manager partners with the Community Dental Program Manager II to proactively manage program logistics, scheduling, outreach coordination and staff supervision to assure optimal care and customer service are delivered efficiently and in alignment with organizational goals.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assists and collaborates with the Community Dental Program Manager II to ensure effective, efficient, and safe operations across all Community Dental and School-Based Health Dental services, responding to the needs of patients, clinicians, and community partners. </li><li>Manages scheduling, logistics, and provider schedules for all Community Dental and School-Based Health Center Dental services. </li><li>Coordinates and schedules outreach events, clinical events, and school-based activities, managing logistics and seamless distribution of consent forms, incentives, materials, and clinical supplies. </li><li>Implements and maintains standardized workflows, tools, and forms in collaboration with the Community Dental Program Manager II. </li><li>Represents NHC at community meetings, outreach events, school meetings, and school staff presentations, meeting with school administrators and staff to support program coordination and implementation. </li><li>Tables at outreach events and acts as learning lab staff as needed. </li><li>Assists the Community Dental Program Manager II with interviews, hiring, corrective action activities, and performance management in partnership with Human Resources. </li><li>Partners with the Community Dental Program Manager II to conduct standard work audits, ensuring compliance with established workflows, documentation standards, and overall operational efficiency across programs. </li><li>Supports Community Dental Program Manager II in fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while providing an environment to promote support staff's ongoing learning and personal growth. </li><li>Supervise Community Dental staff, providing onboarding, training, scheduling, and daily operational support. </li><li>Monitors and orders clinical, outreach, and office supplies to ensure programs are adequately resourced within established budget parameters. </li><li>Collaborates with the Community Dental Program Manager II on budget monitoring and monthly review of budget versus actual performance. </li><li>Collaborates with the Community Dental Program Manager II and other leaders to develop, implement, and update policies and procedures related to Community Dental operations. </li><li>Conducts staff meetings to ensure effective communication of program, site, and organizational information. </li><li>Assists Community Dental Program Manager II in evaluating metrics and supports quality and process improvements initiatives. </li><li>Recognizes and responds to operational opportunities, including the need for additional staffing or training, in close collaboration with the Community Dental Program Manager II. </li><li>Assures a safe, productive, and supportive work environment, acting as a role model for behavior expectations and clinic policies. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
