<p>Overview</p> <p>Clinical Athletic Trainer - Westmont - Podiatry</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time; 40 hours/week </li><li>Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm </li><li>Location: Westmont </li><li>Travel: Expected to travel to other clinics for coverage when needed - Elmhurst, Westmont Pasquinelli and Lombard </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance and medical coverage at 100% (after deductible) when utilizing a Duly provider.</p> </li><li> <p>Employer provided life and disability insurance.</p> </li><li> <p>$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediate 401(k) match.</p> </li><li> <p>40 hours paid volunteer time off.</p> </li><li> <p>A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.</p> </li><li> <p>Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.</p> </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Journeys and Adventures that Await:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a liaison between Orthopedic Physicians and the surrounding communities, the educational and recreational systems to support their athletes </li><li>Collaborate with medical professionals, coaches, and athletes to ensure players are ready to play, by maintaining proper nutrition and receiving proper treatment in the event of illness or injury </li><li>Attend sporting events to evaluate the physical condition of athletes, assist with establishing dietary and fitness plans, and use knowledge of sports related injuries to diagnose and treat players </li><li>Stay current with new and innovative ways to offer treatment </li><li>Participate in QA, UR, Outcome, and safety committees with in Duly, to discuss and review cases </li><li>Provide quality patient care and maintain efficient workflow </li><li>Schedule appointments for office visits, surgeries, diagnostic tests, meetings, and others in an efficient and timely manner </li><li>Prepare patient charts for office visits with all patient medical test results, operative reports, and/or other documentation pertinent to the patient </li><li>Triaging and responding to patient phone calls, including pre- and post-operative surgical patients </li><li>Documenting information in patient records </li><li>Reviewing therapy exercises, stretching and other patient education with patient and family </li><li>Obtain and document patient history and vital signs </li><li>Assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments (i.e., applying casts, removing sutures) </li><li>Recognizing and responding to emergencies </li><li>Educating/instructing patients regarding their medical condition, treatments, medications, and other appropriate information </li><li>Coordinating patient care information with other health care providers </li><li>Completing other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Physician and/or Clinical Staff Manager </li><li>Prepare and maintain the examination and procedure rooms </li><li>Ensure patient and procedure rooms are clean </li><li>Ensure availability of supplies </li><li>Ensure equipment is working properly, removing any equipment from service, and reporting failure appropriately </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>The Experiences You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Licensure as Athletic Trainer in State of Illinois </li><li>Certified Athletic Trainer through National Athletic Trainers Association </li><li>BLS certification </li><li>Bachelor's degree required from athletic training program </li><li>Master's degree preferred </li><li>2 years of Athletic Training experience preferred </li><li>Experience documenting in an electronic medical record </li><li>Previous Orthopedic experience is preferred </li></ul>
