<p>The Production Scheduler schedules production according to customer requirements while maintaining machine utilization standards and on-time delivery standards</p> <p>Monday - Friday 7:00AM to 4:00PM</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules utilizing the ERP system and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements, maximize efficiency, and reduce setup and waste. </li><li>Utilize ERP system for Material Requirements Planning, Master Production Scheduling and Capacity Requirements Planning. </li><li>Responsible for the management of inventory, including material shortages, substitutions, cycle counts and physical inventories. </li><li>Follow up to ensure that scheduled dates are met and expedited or make necessary adjustments to ensure on time delivery. </li><li>Advises customer service and management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining accurate Bills of Material, Routings, Operations and Work Centers in the ERP system. </li><li>Analyze and maintain capacities utilizing the ERP system and recommend changes. </li><li>Answer lead-time and availability questions. </li><li>Daily interaction with shippers/receivers, supervisors, customer service reps, quality control personnel, and managers as required. </li><li>Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods. </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. </li><li>Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner. </li><li>Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance. </li><li>Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>At least five years progressively more responsible experience </li><li>In addition to the knowledge normally acquired through a general high school education, the job requires a specialized skill or knowledge which may be obtained in high school or during a very brief period of intensive preparation outside of school </li><li>ERP system experience: SAP Business One preferred </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). </li></ul>
