<p>BROCKTON NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH CENTER</p> <p>Early Childhood Development Psychologist</p> <p>$50,000 - $55,000</p> <p>Sign on bonus of $5,000- 50% at 3 months, 50% at one year.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>BNHC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate psychologist to join our team. The psychologist will play a crucial role in reducing delays in assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other conditions identified through observations and screenings performed by the pediatric integrated care team. This position requires a commitment to racial and health equity, ensuring that all patients, especially those</p> <p>who identify as neuro-atypical, receive appropriate and timely assessments.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Conduct comprehensive assessments: Perform thorough assessments and evaluations of patients referred for assessment by the pediatric integrated care team. This includes utilizing a range of standardized assessments and clinical interviews to diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions, primarily focusing on ASD.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide evidence-based interventions: Develop and implement evidence-based interventions specific to the needs of patients with neurodevelopmental conditions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and families to create comprehensive treatment plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the pediatric integrated care team: Work closely with the pediatric integrated care team to support early identification and intervention for patients with neurodevelopmental conditions. Provide consultation, training, and ongoing support to team members to enhance their understanding and knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in interdisciplinary meetings: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians and community health workers, in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care, treatment plans, and progress. Contribute to a collaborative and integrated care approach.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay informed on research and best practices: Keep abreast of current research, evidence-based interventions, and best practices. Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development activities.</p> </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution. </li><li>Current licensure as a psychologist in the state. </li><li>Experience in diagnosing and providing interventions for neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly ASD. </li><li>Strong knowledge of evidence-based assessment tools and interventions specific to neurodevelopmental conditions. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. </li><li>Commitment to racial and health equity, ensuring culturally sensitive and inclusive care for all patients. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, integrated care environment. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>A busy community health center located in a downtown business district. Occasional long hours maybe required.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Physical demands requiring lifting of small pieces of equipment and/or boxes not to exceed 20 pounds. Mostly sedentary and interoffice walking required. Visual acuity sufficient for frequent reading. Hearing acuity sufficient for holding conversations with or without audio devices.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Pedi/OB Behavioral Health Integration Manager/Director of Social Services</p> <p>About us: BNHC is a multicultural organization that collaborates with community agencies and residents to provide high quality comprehensive health care. BNHC serves an extremely diverse patient population including Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Haitian, Latino, Portuguese, African American and Caucasian, 77% of whom live in poverty.</p> <p>BNHC is committed to providing a safe and heathy environment for patients and staff. As a condition of employment, employees, to include new hires, are required to be fully vaccinated to include the most recent COVID 19 booster and annual flu vaccines, with the exception of those who have documented medical or religious exemptions, that must be approved by BNHC according to its protocols. Additional vaccines may be required based on the recommendation of the CDC. New hires who are not yet vaccinated for flu or COVID can arrange to be vaccinated on site.</p>
