<p>This position is responsible for reconciling daily reports, account current, and agency statements, as well as following up on billing issues, handling collections, and resolving complaints. Additionally, it involves answering questions related to agency and direct-billed items and delivering exceptional customer service to our agents and insureds.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports </li><li>Partner with IT to identify and correct billing system transactional errors on a timely basis </li><li>Achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction for internal and external billing inquiries </li><li>Provide understanding, interpretation, and communication on the financial impact of processing and billing transactions to internal associates </li><li>Continuously improve on collecting past due premiums </li><li>Analyze daily transactional errors and their effect on billing to recommend solutions </li><li>Timely reconciliation of monthly account current agency statements, including resolution of outstanding discrepancies in a timely manner </li><li>Answer and respond to a variety of inquiries relating to billing questions and disputes </li><li>Work closely with underwriters, customer service representatives, and market managers to resolve billing discrepancies </li><li>Monitor and update billing information relating to SECURA's agency and direct billed billing systems </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Excellent computer skills </li><li>Organized, decisive and detailed focused </li><li>Analytical, including problem solving. </li><li>Maintaining constructive relationships with peers and managers inspires teamwork. </li><li>Interpersonal skills include written and verbal communication, listening and excellent customer service. </li><li>Responsible, trustworthy and professional when dealing with internal and external customers. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required </li><li>Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school desired </li><li>Introductory insurance coursework desired </li><li>Two years related; successful customer service experience desired </li><li>Certificate in General Insurance desired </li><li>Understanding of insurance policy language and endorsements desired </li><li>Basic understanding of the independent agency distribution system </li><li>Basic knowledge of SECURA's new and renewal business processing </li></ul> <p>At SECURA, we are transforming the insurance experience by putting authenticity at the forefront of everything we do.
