<p>Job Location: DeKalb</p> <p>Want to make an impact?</p> <p>Ferrara Candy Company's DeKalb manufacturing facility is seeking a strong HR Generalist to lead cultural change, build partnerships, develop others and offer creative solutions to business issues. This is a true Generalist role with exposure to recruiting, employee engagement, leadership development, employee relations, training, and benefits administration and performance management.</p> <p>This position will report to the facility HR Manager.</p> <p>This position will require being on-site 5 days per week.</p> <p>Ways you will make a difference</p> <ul> <li>Lead cultural change and recruiting efforts for hourly production positions; update and maintain the applicant tracking log, schedule pre-employment physicals; and write and place job advertisements </li><li>Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations under the leadership of the local HR Manager </li><li>Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; </li><li>Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) </li><li>Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention </li><li>Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to mitigate risks </li><li>Challenge the organizational structure and existing process and procedures; proposes changes as needed </li><li>Assist in creation and facilitation of management training programs </li><li>Responsible for the weekly administration of payroll processing </li><li>Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, implementing selected solution and coaching and counseling managers and employees </li><li>Maintain employee personnel files and other departmental files in a neat, organized and secure and confidential manner </li><li>Lead by example in demonstrating the Company's operating principles </li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures, GMP and safety standards </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support Ferrara Candy Company business objectives </li></ul> <p>Skills that will make you successful</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of employment laws in COBRA, FMLA, DOL and OSHA </li><li>Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills </li><li>Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization </li></ul> <p>Experiences that will support your success</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; PHR or SHRM-CP designation preferred </li><li>Minimum 3 years in an HR role in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>At Ferrara, we're proud to support our employees with comprehensive benefits that enhance health, financial wellness, and include paid time off (PTO).
