<p>Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst - NextGen Program</p> <p>Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid - Onsite 3x/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)</p> <p>Type: Contract (Full-time)</p> <p>Duration: 12 Months</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>A leading global technology company is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support its NextGen modernization initiative. This multi-phase program focuses on transforming legacy licensing platforms into scalable, cloud-native solutions. The Senior BSA will play a key role in defining and implementing a unified calculation engine, metadata-driven services, and modular business capabilities.</p> <p>This role requires close collaboration with agile SCRUM teams and cross-functional stakeholders across business and technical domains. The ideal candidate has experience with business systems modeling, integration documentation, and system modernization projects-especially within highly structured, auditable environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Planning, Requirements & Modeling</p> <ul> <li>Elicit, document, and refine functional and non-functional requirements in Agile/SCRUM environments. </li><li>Develop domain models, capability swimlanes, data dictionaries, and system interaction diagrams using tools such as Enterprise Architect (EA) and Miro. </li><li>Map business processes to modular service boundaries and identify reusable business logic across programs. </li><li>Support MVP planning and deliverables with clearly scoped features, documented dependencies, and defined acceptance criteria. </li></ul> <p>System Integration Documentation & Design</p> <ul> <li>Translate business needs into structured workflows, business rules, and technical service requirements. </li><li>Define and document integration payloads and dialect expectations (e.g., JSON, XML) to support API/interface design. </li><li>Ensure EA models and technical documentation accurately reflect integration points and service behaviors. </li></ul> <p>Automation & SDLC Enablement</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives. </li><li>Work with QA and automation engineers to ensure traceability and testability using tools like Tosca or UiPath. </li><li>Align EA models, Jira stories, and Confluence documentation for full lifecycle traceability. </li></ul> <p>Audit, Controls & Governance</p> <ul> <li>Document business rules and system logic to support SOX and FINSIG audit and compliance frameworks. </li><li>Maintain traceability across requirements, business rules, and test cases to support audit walkthroughs. </li><li>Define metadata-driven rule structures for transparency and reuse. </li></ul> <p>Communication & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Produce high-quality documentation: process flows, capability maps, decision tables, integration specs, and glossaries. </li><li>Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and reduce delivery risk. </li><li>Create milestone visuals and progress summaries for internal and external stakeholder reporting. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred). </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting enterprise software or platform modernization efforts. </li><li>Strong background working with SCRUM teams and agile delivery environments. </li><li>Familiarity with cloud-native systems, modular architecture, and business logic frameworks. </li><li>Experience with Enterprise Architect (EA) or similar architecture modeling tools. </li></ul> <p>Tools & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in tools such as Enterprise Architect (EA), Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Visio. </li><li>Strong documentation and business process modeling skills. </li><li>Ability to define and document integration requirements (e.g., JSON/XML) without coding. </li><li>Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Tosca, UiPath) and audit/control frameworks (e.g., SOX, FINSIG). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Agile and iterative thinker with structured problem-solving skills. </li><li>Strong visual communicator and disciplined documentation creator. </li><li>Values automation, traceability, and reusability. </li><li>Effective collaborator across business and technical teams. </li></ul>
